EXOFORM Nerikomi #5
This large-scale vessel is hand-built from cut and reassembled sections of porcelain, resulting in an open, layered structure that emphasizes construction over enclosure. The form is defined by horizontal bands and elongated openings, which expose the internal architecture and allow light and space to pass through the object. Each dark line records a real cut and join, making the process of assembly visible on the surface. The exterior and interior remain matte and unglazed, highlighting the material’s rawness and stratified texture. Subtle gold accents appear at select junctions, referencing repair and continuity while remaining secondary to the object’s structural presence.
